Genna Rulon is an up and coming contemporary romance author. During her 15 years in the corporate world, Genna, inspired by her love of reading, fantasized about penning her own stories. Encouraged by her favorite authors, many of whom are indie writers and self-published, she committed to pursuing her aspirations of writing her own novels. Genna was raised in Long Island, New York, where she still resides, surrounded by the most amazing family and friends. Married to a wonderful man, who patiently tolerates her ramblings about whichever book she is currently working on, even feigning interest relatively convincingly! Meg Aelio is not what her adoptive family of friend think who she is.  Brought up in isolation in a cult where she was destined to be the Omega and to be pure until her seventeen birthday and given to the ruling Omega.  She did not true affection until she meet Jay another older cult member who end up getting kicking out because he dared talked to her.

One day she finds a way to sneak out and ends up calling Jay whom had left her a hidden note with his address and phone number.  Meg remembered the number and manages to call him as he rescues her.  Eventually, Meg decides to leave his protection for his safety and ends up meeting her new friends.

Living a life as a grad student while working and making friends who care about her and vica versa.  In walks Westly Black a lawyer who has dealings with one of her friends, they went out a few times before she found out who he is and refused to see him afterwards.  He ended up taking a case of a rapist who raped one of her friends as the rapist parents hired him to take the case.   Eventually the rapist was thrown in jail and died there.

A few months has passed as he ends up being her next door neighbor since she is living with one of her girlfriends.  At first she tries to ignore him but he somehow manages to keep showing up around her.  They end up together as they cannot help themselves.

Misunderstandings keep happening between them and her past keeps threatening to come forth with threatening emails.  Can she face up her past and tell these people about her sad past before their lives are threatened?  Will these two manage to survive and take a chance on love?
