After her mother’s death, Melia offers to carry the child of one of her mother’s friend as her dying wish. She finally becomes pregnant after her second attempt and is carrying Ryan and Ellis twins.

She moves to Colorado after they move back from D.C. after Ryan’s hospitalization.  Melia finds an apartment nearby as she does not want to live in the same place as a motorcycle club.  She is afraid of the men who would frequent such a place and besides she just needs her own space.

One day while she was out shooting pictures she runs into a guy dressed in a suit who ends up breaking her lens when he accidentally steps on her.  She finds him to be arrogant after their meeting since he refused to apologize to her. 

Their next meeting she goes off on him when they are introduce by Ryan when the doctor puts her on bed rest for a month Ryan makes her stay at the club.  He turns out to be Patrick Ryan’s big brother and president of the club. 

Patrick tries to be accommodating but whenever they are together thinks heat up. He is accustom to having people bid to his every command while she does not take his command and gets under his skin.

While Patrick tries to protect his sister and what she holds dear to her, an old foe surfaces once again to cause trouble.  Can he keep them safe and will his attraction to Melia change him?
