About the Authors

Yep. That's an “s.” There are two of us!

We’re East coast girls separated by Long Island Sound who met in Physician Assistant School and have been besties ever since. We can safely say that thirteen miles of water does not get in the way because we talk or text, no exaggeration, at least 150 times a day. No, really, we do—about everything and nothing. Shockingly, we never (we mean never) run out of things to say. Umm, ever. We definitely laugh A LOT and we’re a tad sarcastic. And if we’re being totally honest, one or two people might have, on occasion, used our names and ‘dramatic’ in the same sentence. But it’s hard to trust the sources since they married us.

It only took twelve years, two husbands, five kids, two dogs, and a two-week vacation in Cape Cod later to decide the romance world needed a splash of medicine. Write what you know.

So you can easily find us at 4 o'clock on Bank Street beach with a glass of cold Prosecco brainstorming. And guaranteed if we bump into you, literally, it’s only because our iPhones are glued to our hands (totally out of our control) either writing or editing our next novel (and yes, it is possible to do from your iPhone, we mastered it … damn those straight quotations).

When we are not working on our book or reading the latest angsty romance on our kindles, you basically name it and we have it going on. Soccer, lacrosse, golf, swimming, dance, gymnastics, football, chess, baseball, basketball, skiing, ice skating, school, homework, and more school. Oh yeah, did we forget to mention our careers in medicine?

Needless to say, we realized fast that something had to go, so we opted for sleep. It’s completely overrated (yet so AMAZING) and delirium makes everything funnier. Good thing we share a brain and can pretty much complete each other’s sentences (definitely weird, we know), otherwise it might have taken us two years to write Beautifully Awake rather than one.

 So that’s our story, who we are … just add AUTHORS to the list!

Dr. Chase Colton is a wealthy and successful surgery with a sad past.  His twin sister was in a car accident at eighteen and never regained conscience before she died at twenty one.  He has always felt guilt since he had gotten into an argument before his sister drove off and was hit by a drunken driver.  His wealthy parents did not want to prolong her life but he made sure she had help  and paid for her hospital bills.  In the end, his parents managed to lose all their month while he ended up paying off their place so they can live there as he inherited both his sister and his inheritance.

Lili Porter is a social worker who happens to work in the same hospital.  She has moved from her small town upbringing where things became a disaster.  Trying to move on with a new life but never quite living again.  Her past still haunts her every day.

They meet when she goes on six week rounds in his department as she tries to learn the different aspects of hospital life.  There is instant attraction as they cannot get enough of each other as she eventually spends more time at his place than hers.

Lili realizes that Chase has the power to save her from her nightmares and vice versa. Can these tortured souls realize what they have before something rips them apart?

We see the love between the two of them despite possessiveness and jealously.

TACK was an acronym for Talia, Archer, Chase and Kimi and their band when they were all teenagers.  We know the tragic ending of Kimi and Chase finding Lili but what happened to Talia.

This is Archer Craig and Talia Pryce story and how you must live life to its fullest since you never know how short life is.  A bittersweet tale of love and the chances we daily live

Finally Chase and Lili are married and Archer was the best man.  One night he unexpectedly runs into Talia one night.  He finds out she is a doctor living on the west coast and has changed her last name and that is why he has lost track of her. Archer feels a connection between even after all these years.

He ends up making an excuse to be on the west coast just an excuse to possible see her.  They end up spending time together despite the 3,000 plus miles between them.  As they take turns flying to each other on the weekend and Talia bonding with Lili and her friends.

But Talia has her own secrets that she has kept hidden for nineteen years. Tack her eighteen year old son who is in medical school and who looks so much like Chase since they are half brothers.  Talia who told Chase that she was pregnant and Chase threw her money and told her to take care of it. Tack is the result of her being taken advantage one night by Chance’s father and was told to get out of state or he would ruin her family.

Amidst the drama, Archer and Tack bond with each other although Chance and Tack keep their distance since they are look and tempers are alike.
