This is the final book in the series.

Finally back in England,  Merry now known as Duchess of Windmere, Lady Meredith Ann Merrick is trapped in the most dangerous position of all: as Varian Deverell’s new bride.  Still trying to keep her independence; she struggles with her family hatred of her new husband and the aristocrat who hates him.

Finding themselves living with her parents who put them in separate sleeping quarters, they maintain a love hate relationship.  Varian will disappear at times not telling her where he goes which only adds to her jealously that he is with his former mistress.  He fails to tell her of his dealings for revenge in his quest to keep her safe.

Amidst the dangers their passion for each still holds strong even through the risky birth of their daughter. Will they get their happy ever after despite people after him?  Can his good name be restored and can live in peace together as a family?  We watch as these two grow together.
