Gabriel Cruz and Valeria Trevino have been in love since
they were seventeen and even exchanged promise rings. They have spent the last twenty years
together as they got married and have two children living the American dream. Gabriel is about to make partnership at his
law firm after all the long hours at the office leaving his family alone and
barely spending time with them.
Valerie has started to feel alone and unloved especially
when he forgets their anniversary and ends up coming home late. She writes a note asking for a divorce and
leaves it in the kitchen. The next day
he does not mention it like he never saw it.
She cannot explain why she sudden wants a divorce to herself
knowing that she still loves him. Doing
her charity work, she seeks his aid but it looks like he does not care about
granting a dying child wish. Thinking
she cannot trust her husband anymore she seeks a divorce drawing up papers for
