Sergeant Nick Welby and his dog Talley are still recovering a year later from a bomb explosion that killed his fellow soldiers.  He is in Seattle getting help for his dog with Dr. Walters an animal acupuncture when he meets Goth girl Hollie Thomas her assistant and is smitten.

Hollie had a tough life growing up with meth parents as she has a problem trusting people.  As her new world appears to be going well, it soon begins to unravel when her boss becomes entangled with a terrorist plot.
